Building for everyone,
with everyone

Every day, we enhance infrastructure around the world to reach AI’s full potential. We collaborate with local communities, leaders, and businesses to advance critical systems and energy equity for our data center neighbors so that everyone benefits.

We are building with everyone’s future in mind

Every day, we’re driving advancements in sustainability by accelerating the clean energy transition, improving efficiency, and preserving critical natural resources for future generations. This progress helps to provide the sustainable improvements that are vital to building resiliency in our data center communities around the globe.

  • Average household energy cost savings

    $657

Google collaborated with Sol Systems to help reduce energy costs and expand access to clean energy for families in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina where data centers are located. This reduction in energy costs led to an average savings of $657 per home per year in North Carolina and South Carolina. Through the collaboration, Google invests in a Community Investment Fund (CIF) on an annual basis, and Sol Systems manages and facilitates the investments in collaboration with Google.

Creating the pathways for a
low-carbon future

Creating improvements to benefit future generations

The digital world is built on real-world infrastructure. When constructing our data centers, we improve the community too. We invest in enhancements to important local systems — power grids, water treatment facilities, and even roads — to support this transition forward.

The Prince Clausplein highway interchange near The Hague, Netherlands, is an example of solid infrastructure that is critical to the vitality of a bustling community.

We are committed to collaborating across the industry to develop new ways to bring new, clean energy to the grids where we operate — enabling the digital products and services that both businesses and individuals use every day.
