world. That’s why in 2013, Google opened our efficient and environmentally
friendly Singapore data center. Our community contractors and employees foster
innovative ideas like using recycled water to cool our data center and further
drive our commitment to supporting the neighborhood we call home.

In 2020, we launched Skills Ignition SG, a collaboration with the Singaporean government and local industry to provide both digital skills training and hands-on work experience for 5,500 people, with more expansion on the way.

AI use cases

The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), and Google Cloud launched “AI Trailblazers,” a joint initiative designed to help up to 100 organizations in Singapore identify real-world challenges that can be addressed with generative AI, build generative AI solution prototypes, and bring these prototypes to production.
